Hibernian extended their unbeaten run to seven matches with an impressive second-half show to earn a 2-0 win at Queen of the South.

The breakthrough came in the 63rd minute when Jason Cummings was brought down by James Atkinson and the goalkeeper failed to make amends as Dylan McGeouch made no mistake with the spot-kick for his second goal of the season.

Scott Robertson doubled the advantage and made the points safe 12 minutes later with a superb shot from outside the area.

Cummings needed only 11 minutes to grab his first, with his deflected shot finishing a quick Hibs break.

The hosts were briefly pegged back seven minutes later when John Baird converted Will Vaulks' clever pass.

Cummings was at it again in the 39th minute when he diverted Liam Fontaine's header goalwards and he completed his first career treble three minutes later when heading...

Hearts remain unbeaten at the top of the Scottish Championship after earning a 1-1 draw against Edinburgh rivals Hibernian.

The Jambos' impressive league record appeared to be in danger when Jason Cummings fired the visitors into the lead midway through the first half.

But his ninth goal of the season was cancelled out in style by Jamie Walker who grabbed a superb equaliser to ensure the derby clash ended all square.

The outcome at Tynecastle means Hearts have still not lost a league match this season...

Kenny McDowall's first match in charge of Rangers ended in fresh humiliation for the Ibrox men as Hibernian dished out a 4-0 thrashing at Easter Road.

With former boss Ally McCoist put on garden leave, McDowall was given command for the rest of the season.

But his reign got off to the worst possible start as David Gray, Jason Cummings, Scott Robertson and Liam Craig all netted in Hibs' biggest win over Gers since a 5-0 drubbing back in January 1912.

The defeat moves Alan Stubbs' side to within four...
