Former Barcelona, Manchester United and Celtic striker Henrik Larsson has quit as manager of Swedish side Helsingborg two months after taking charge after receiving verbal abuse from the team's own fans, the club said in a statement on Friday.

Helsingborg centre-back Andreas Granqvist has said he is flattered by reports linking him with Manchester United and would consider a "concrete offer" to move to Old Trafford.

Bayern Munich sign 16-year-old Sweden star Alex Timossi Andersson

Bayern Munich have announced the signing of 16-year-old Sweden youth international Alex Timossi Andersson from Helsingborg IF. 

The attacking midfielder will move to Munich in the summer of 2019. As yet, no details of the fee nor the length of the contract have been announced by either club.

Henrik Larsson has left Helsingborg following their relegation from the Swedish top flight on Sunday.

Helsingborg boss Henrik Larsson oversaw the club's relegation on Sunday.

Helsingborg are investigating crowd trouble that saw manager Henrik Larsson's son attacked on the pitch after the club's relegation was confirmed.
