Luca Toni: I'm only going to quit when I'm scoring just three goals a season

Only Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have scored more goals than Toni in this calendar year.

Luca Toni, who became the oldest-ever top goal-scorer in Serie A last season, has backed himself to shine again in the new campaign.

Toni, 38, scored 22 goals for Hellas Verona, the same amount as Inter Milan's Mauro Icardi, who is 16 years his junior.

And only two other forwards in Europe -- Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo -- have scored more goals than him in 2015.

Hellas Verona striker Luca Toni appeared in a Munich court on Wednesday as a dispute over claims he owes German authorities €1.7 million in church tax continues.

Hellas Verona forward Luca Toni, at the age of 38, will have a share of the 2014-15 Capocannoniere award as Serie A's joint-top scorer with Inter Milan's Mauro Icardi after the Argentine bagged a brace in his side's 4-3 win on Sunday.
