Gianluigi Buffon said an emotional farewell to Juventus as the veteran goalkeeper marked his 640th and last Serie A appearance in a 2-1 victory over relegated Hellas Verona.

Buffon, who announced on Thursday he would be ending his 17-year spell with the club, helped them finish the season with a win.

Juventus had already wrapped up a seventh straight title, so the game was an opportunity for them to pay tribute to their departing captain.

Ian Darke leads the ESPN panel in predicting the 2018 World Cup winner with names of Germany, Brazil, France and England among the list.

Three of Asia's five 2018 World Cup representatives chose to name preliminary squads on or before the May 14 deadline.

All three nations were forced to make tough decisions, with newly appointed coaches Bert van Marwijk and Shin Tae-yong particularly determined to make their mark on their respective squads.

South Korea preliminary World Cup squad includes Lee Seung-woo, Son Heung-min

The 20 year-old forward has yet to make his senior international debut and left the Spanish champion in August 2017 to join Hellas Verona in Italy, scoring his first Serie A goal earlier in May.

South Korea will face Sweden, Mexico and Germany in Group F.

AC Milan moved back into Serie A's top six with a 4-1 win at San Siro that relegated Hellas Verona.

The Rossoneri, aiming to leapfrog Atalanta and get back among the Europa League places, took the lead in the 11th minute when Hakan Calhanoglu converted a cutback from Suso.

Milan doubled their lead in the 32nd minute when Patrick Cutrone latched onto a pass from Giacomo Bonaventura and drilled the ball into the bottom corner.

It was 3-0 early in the second half when, in the 48th minute, Ignazio Abate...

Genoa nudged Hellas Verona ever close to the relegation trapdoor by winning 3-1 at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris.

Hellas, who responded to Iuri Medeiros' early strike with a penalty from Romulo only for Rossoblu substitutes Daniel Bessa and Goran Pandev to score at the death, remain six points from safety.

Genoa wasted no time heaping more unwelcome pressure on struggling Verona as Medeiros fired in an opening goal inside seven minutes, the Portuguese driving a precise left-footed shot beyond Nicolas.
