Lazio reeled off their sixth consecutive Serie A win on Sunday when they claimed a 2-0 triumph over Hellas Verona.

Looking to keep the pressure on second-place Roma, Lazio took the lead when Felipe Anderson scored his ninth goal of the campaign in the fourth minute.

Not long after, Vangelis Moras nearly pulled the visitors level but he was denied by the post.

After Lazio's Lucas Biglia hit the crossbar in the 27th minute, the hosts doubled their lead on the stroke of half-time when Antonio Candreva...

Hellas Verona striker Luca Toni to make decision on his future in summer

Luca Toni has struck 13 goals for Hellas Verona this season.

Hellas Verona striker Luca Toni has not ruled out adding another season onto his career, although he says he will make his mind up lying on a beach somewhere this summer.

Toni, 37, moved on to 13 goals for the season, with eight of them coming in 2015, following his brace in Sunday's 2-0 Serie A defeat of Napoli.

That has taken him to 33 in total for Hellas -- one more than club legend Preben Elkjaer and just two short of the side's record holder Emiliano Mascetti -- while he has joined the company...

Luca Toni was the villain in Napoli's 2-0 loss to Hellas Verona.

Napoli saw their push for a place in the Champions League next season suffer a setback as they were beaten 2-0 at Hellas Verona on Sunday.

Luca Toni netted both goals for Andrea Mandorlini's men, who took a big step away from the bottom three with victory at the Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi, although they ended with 10 men after Jacopo Sala saw red.

Napoli, who beat Dinamo Moscow 3-1 in the Europa League on Thursday, could be forced to focus on making progress in that competition for their best...

AC Milan could not hold on to their lead as Hellas Verona equalised in stoppage time.

Substitute Nico Lopez punished AC Milan for trying to sit on the slenderest of leads by forcing a 2-2 draw for Hellas Verona with the last kick of the game at San Siro.

The first half had been a tale of two penalties, with Luca Toni converting from the spot before Jeremy Menez followed suit to draw Milan level.

Philippe Mexes was the unlikely scorer of what looked like being the winning goal shortly after half-time, but instead of urging his men to push on, coach Filippo Inzaghi ordered a hasty...

Hellas Verona halted a four-match winless run with a 2-1 victory at Cagliari on Sunday to boost their Serie A survival hopes.

Luca Toni put Hellas ahead in the ninth minute before substitute Juanito Gomez headed the second in the 56th minute.

Cagliari captain Daniele Conti pulled one back with a free-kick with seconds remaining but the visitors held on for their seventh win of the campaign.

The home side dominated possession but struggled to make the most of their chances and remain without a victory...
