Inter Milan failed to win once again with Nico Lopez denying them all three points with a late equaliser for Hellas Verona in a 2-2 draw at San Siro.

Luca Toni gave Verona the lead in the 10th minute, but Mauro Icardi's brace turned the game on its head.

Toni then had a penalty saved after Gary Medel was sent off for Inter, yet the 10-man Nerazzurri were unable to hold on as fatigue set in.

A late Juanito Gomez goal denied Cesena what would have been an important victory at the Stadio Dino Manuzzi.

Gregoire Defrel had given Cesena the lead midway through the first half, but their attempts to hold onto victory were thwarted when Gomez struck for Hellas Verona 13 minutes from time.

He thus denied Cesena a win which would have taken them out of the bottom three, where instead they remain after 10 games of the season as a result of this 1-1 draw.

With Cesena needing the points with more urgency...

Lazio could not make it five Serie A wins in a row as a Luca Toni penalty earned Hellas Verona a 1-1 draw at the Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi.

Senad Lulic gave the side from the capital the lead just before the break but when Luis Pedro Cavanda pulled back Juanito Gomez in the area to earn his second yellow card, Toni made no mistake from the spot.

Lazio continued to press for a winner despite being down to 10 men but neither side could find the vital goal and the points were shared.

Gonzalo Higuain's second-half hat-trick lifted Napoli to a 6-2 victory over Hellas Verona in a match that was much closer than the scoreline suggests.

It was in fact the visitors who took a shock first-minute lead at the Stadio San Paolo through Iceland midfielder Emil Hallfreosson and, although Marek Hamsik's brace put Napoli in the ascendancy, Hellas equalised midway through the second half through Nicolas Lopez.

They were level for less than two minutes, though, as Higuain put Napoli ahead and the...
