Stuttgart picked up their first win of the season to move off the foot of the table and out of the bottom three by beating Hannover 1-0.

Daniel Schwaab scored the only goal of the game as the Swabians deservedly beat their rivals from Lower Saxony to win back some of the faith they had lost in back-to-back home defeats to Cologne and Hoffenheim.

Daniel Didavi was again the orchestrator for Armin Veh's side, proving to be a constant thorn in Hannover's side.

Hannover moved up to third in the Bundesliga thanks to a 1-0 win over Cologne, who had not conceded a goal all season until Wednesday night.

Joselu grabbed the only goal of the game just six minutes in to earn the Reds their third win of the season.

Cologne threw everything forward in the second half, but found a well-disciplined Hannover rearguard unwilling to let their points slip at the Niedersachsenstadion.

After 364 minutes without conceding, Timo Horn had to fish the ball out of the back of his...

An incredible 80-yard goal from Moritz Stoppelkamp continued Paderborn's dream start to life in the Bundesliga on Saturday as the East Westphalians defeated Hannover 2-0.

The former Hannover player scored an early contender for goal of the season with the last kick of the game to maintain the league newcomers' unbeaten start to their first ever season in the German top flight.

Earlier, Elias Kachunga put Andre Breitenreiter's men in front against a Hannover side who tasted defeat for the first time...

Hannover turned up the pressure on their former coach Mirko Slomka with a 2-0 Bundesliga win over his Hamburg side, who remain without a goal and with only one point this season.

Leon Andreasen and Artur Sobiech netted the goals which take the Reds into a share of top spot with Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen, but could well signal the end for their former coach.

Slomka has been under pressure at the northern Germany club, despite saving them from relegation via a play-off last season, and his days...

Pedro Leon angers Hannover for retweeting proof of bid for player

Pedro Leon was left out of Getafe's La Liga squad for the season.

Hannover have hit out at Pedro Leon for making public their summer bid for the Getafe midfielder on Twitter.

Leon, 27, was not registered by Getafe for the current La Liga season due to financial reasons. The former Real Madrid player's salary would have taken the club's 17 million-euro budget over the limit of Liga de Futbol Profesional's (LFP) newly-introduced regulation.

Getafe had tried to sell the player to one of Sevilla, West Ham or Hannover in the summer, but a deal could not be agreed....
