Lewis Holtby struggled to impose himself at Spurs, but found regular games at Hamburg.

Tottenham have confirmed that Lewis Holtby has agreed a permanent transfer to Hamburg.

The Germany international then joined Hamburg on loan last summer and made 22 Bundesliga appearances for the club, and has now sealed a move to Bruno Labbadia's side.

A statement on Spurs' official website read: "We have reached agreement with Hamburg for the permanent...

ESPN FC's Craig Burley believes that first-team games are key for Julian Green's growth, while Shaka Hislop adds that the pressure on the teenager to perform continues to build.
ESPN FC's Raphael Honigstein gives his take on whether or not Julian Green will be loaned to a club in the Premier League.
ESPN FC's Doug McIntyre believes that it is too early for Julian Green to play in the Premier League and that he may be better suited to joining a team in the Dutch Eredivisie on loan.
The ESPN FC crew debate whether Stoke City's Geoff Cameron should have been included in the United States squad instead of Hamburg's Julian Green.
The ESPN FC panel discuss the recent reports of Julian Green becoming frustrated with his time on loan at Hamburg, while Arsenal's youth product, Gedion Zelalem may be right on track for a USMNT call-up.
ESPN FC's Ross Dyer and Craig Burley discuss Julian Green's future and how he should conduct himself at Hamburg.
Julian Green believes his spell with Hamburg can help him become a regular back at his parent club, Bayern Munich.

United States international Julian Green reiterated that the German fourth-division was not where he belonged, while adding he's confident he'll prove himself given the opportunity to play at the club and national team level.

"When you are coming back from an injury or have not been on the pitch for 90 minutes over a period of weeks, a match with the U-23s can be helpful," Green said in an interview with The Guardian. "But fourth division is not a solution for me and it will not get me anywhere."
