Rock-bottom Alloa picked up their third draw of the season as they came from two goals down to draw 2-2 at home to Morton.

The visitors' opener sparked a flurry of goals, as Denny Johnstone's shot was pushed out for Declan McManus head home the first of three in five minutes.

It was 2-0 to Morton when Stefan McCluskey, who scored a hat-trick at the weekend, sent a rasping effort across the goalkeeper and into the far corner.

Alloa hit back almost immediately, with a Colin Hamilton shot taking a significant...

Stefan McCluskey's hat-trick eased Morton to a 4-1 victory at Annan in the fifth round of the Scottish Cup.

Striker McCluskey swept the home side into a 21st-minute lead and struck further goals in the 66th and 68th minutes, with Joe McKee also on target for the Championship side.

Annan midfielder Matt Flynn headed a 76th-minute consolation for Scottish League Two side Annan.

McCluskey opened the scoring with an emphatic finish following a deft pass from Denny Johnstone, who also set up McKee for Morton's...

Anthony Stokes scored the only goal of the game as Hibernian edged past Morton on Tuesday night to keep pace with Ladbrokes Championship leaders Rangers.

The on-loan Celtic striker, who marked his return to Hibs with a goal in the 3-1 win over St Mirren, netted two minutes into the second half to give the visitors a deserved lead.

John McGinn pounced on a loose pass and fed Stokes who slid the ball past Morton goalkeeper Derek Gaston from 18 yards.

James Keatings went closest for Hibs in the first period,...

Ten-man Rangers re-established their five-point lead at the top of the Ladbrokes Championship after grinding out a 2-0 win over Morton at Cappielow.

Kenny Miller's 12th goal of the season and a second-half strike from Barrie McKay was enough to see off the determined Greenock outfit after a lacklustre display.

Mark Warburton's men were forced to play the last 20 minutes a man light after Andy Halliday was given a controversial second booking during the celebrations for McKay's goal.

Heavy snowfall put paid to Alloa's Ladbrokes Championship clash with Morton at the Indodrill Stadium, with the home side leading 1-0.

The match started in reasonable conditions but the white layer grew in the second half and with only 20 minutes remaining referee Alan Muir had to call time.

The only goal was scored by Michael Duffy, a tidy low finish from the edge of the box after he was fed by Burton O'Brien. However his contribution will be wiped from the record books.

It was entirely just that the...
