Grasshoppers coach Uli Forte said he would stay with the club for next season.

The president of fallen Swiss giants Grasshopper Zurich said he was "blackmailed" by the club's own fans on Sunday after they had demanded the players' shirts once Lucern had taken a 4-0 lead in their Swiss Super League clash.

Angry Grasshopper supporters threatened to storm the pitch after their side conceded a fourth, forcing a match involving the team to be called off for the second time in two months.

West Ham suffered more jitters against Astra Giurgiu as they were held to a 1-1 draw in the first leg of their Europa League playoff on Thursday.

Former Arsenal and AC Milan defender Philippe Senderos has returned home to Switzerland to join Grasshoppers.

The Zurich club says the 30-year-old Senderos has signed a six-month contract.

Senderos was a free agent since agreeing with Aston Villa this week to terminate his contract after falling out of favour. He is seeking to revive his career and international selection chances ahead of the European Championship.

Everton complete Shani Tarashaj signing from Grasshoppers

Everton have signed forward Shani Tarashaj on a four-and-a-half-year deal from Grasshoppers.

Tarashaj, 20, will be loaned back to the Zurich club for the remainder of the season to allow him to complete his national service.

No fee was announced by Everton but they have reportedly spent £3 million on the Switzerland under-21 international.
