Las Palmas deny reports that match vs. Granada was fixed

La Liga president Javier Tebas said there was no evidence of match-fixing at the time of the Granada vs. Las Palmas game.

La Liga team Las Palmas have strongly denied an accusation aired on Spanish radio that their 3-2 defeat at Granada late in the 2015-16 campaign was fixed.

Las Palmas were already safe when they went to a Granada that was already deep in troubleon April 30 and were 2-0 up inside 12 minutes, only for the home team to come back to win 3-2. That victory formed part of a late upswing in form which saw Granada win three of their last five games and avoid relegation by just a point.

Granada have signed Paco Jemez to a three-year coaching deal.

Former Rayo Vallecano boss Paco Jemez has become the first head coach hired by Granada's ambitious new Chinese owners.

The 46-year-old has signed a three-year contract with the Primera Division club, who were sold to Chinese firm Link International Sports earlier this month.

A statement published on Granada's official website said Jemez -- recently in charge of relegated Rayo -- would be presented by his new employers on Wednesday.

Las Palmas-born Jemez has previously coached Cartagena and Cordoba,...

ESPN FC's Steve Nicol and Alexis Nunes break down Barcelona's latest triumph in La Liga.

Barcelona clinched their 24th Primera Division title as top scorer Luis Suarez scored a hat-trick to inspire them to a 3-0 win at Granada.

Suarez tapped home Jordi Alba's cutback in the 22nd minute to put Barca in charge and tightened their grip on the game and the title by heading home Dani Alves' cross in the 38th, before accepting a generous gift by Neymar to complete his treble late on.

A third hat-trick in five games rounded off the Uruguayan's most prolific season yet as he finished the season...

La Liga chief Javier Tebas doubts Granada received incentives

Barcelona's Luis Suarez discusses the ups and downs of Barcelona's season and how the difficult times have united his team.

La Liga president Javier Tebas has said that he is sure that players are betting on matches in the third tier of Spanish football, but joined Barcelona striker Luis Suarez in dismissing rumours of match-fixing in the Spanish Primera Division.

Spanish media have claimed that Granada's players could be offered incentives -- described in Spanish as briefcases, or maletines -- by Real Madrid to play to the role of spoiler to Barcelona and help Real Madrid steal the title.

Barcelona's Luis Suarez: Pichichi worthless without La Liga title

Lionel Messi discusses Barcelona's end to the season in an exclusive interview with ESPN's Quique Wolff.
Following their 4-1 Liga victory over Sevilla, the FC crew discuss Granada's chances of upsetting Barcelona on Saturday.

Barcelona striker Luis Suarez has said that winning the Pichichi is worthless if the Catalan club fail to win the Spanish Primera Division title on Saturday at Granada.

Luis Enrique's men travel to Andalucia for the final league game of the season with a victory sealing Barca's 24th La Liga success, but any other result will open the door for Real Madrid. Los Blancos, who are one point behind, also play on Saturday, kicking off at Deportivo at the same time as their rivals.
