Ghana defender Samuel Inkoom is facing a one-year FIFA ban.

FIFA has said Ghana defender Samuel Inkoom must serve a one-year ban or pay his debt to his former agent.

The ban was upheld by the Court of Arbitration for Sport after Inkoom challenged a ruling by FIFA's disciplinary committee.

The 28-year-old, who played at the 2010 World Cup, is registered with Bulgarian club Vereya. His previous clubs include Basel, Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk and D.C. United.

FIFA said its players' status panel judged a contract dispute between Inkoom and agent Andy Evans in 2014.

Jonathan Mensah in action for Colombus Crew

Friday, May 27th had to be one of Jonathan Mensah's toughest days out on the football field, and that is saying a lot for a 26-year-old who has played in two World Cups, five Africa Cup of Nations, and in Italy, Spain, France, and Russia.

Mensah was part of a Columbus Crew team that was mauled 5-0 by Toronto FC, with his personal performance the subject of intense scrutiny. The Ghana international had a hard time dealing with Tostaint Ricketts, fouling him for the penalty that resulted in the opening...

Premier League trio to miss Ghana's US tour

Ghana will miss the English Premier League based trio of Andre Ayew, Jordan Ayew and Daniel Amartey on its United States tour after their clubs requested their exclusion.

Ghana Football Association officials say West Ham United, Swansea and Leicester City have all written to the body asking for the exclusion of the three players because the game does not fall within the regular FIFA international dates.

"The clubs have written to us to say they want the players excluded so that they can rest ahead...

Kwadwo Asamoah remains coy on Ghana return

Juventus midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah remains coy about a return to the international fold after only suggesting he will play for the Black Stars again "soon".

Asamoah has not played for Ghana since the 2014 World Cup defeat to Portugal after a series of injuries. He has been back at club level for two years, but has so far held off on a return to the national team.

"I really love this country. I am always ready to come. I was not coming because I had so many injury problems," he tells KweséESPN....
