Despite losing a number of key players over the summer, including captain and last season's top scorer Sergio Garcia, striker Christian Stuani, winger Lucas Vazquez and Mexico international defender Hector Moreno, Espanyol got off to the ideal start.

Cristiano Ronaldo took his goal tally to 61 goals in all competitions this season with a hat trick on Saturday.

Real Madrid signed off their Primera Division season with a wild 7-3 win over Getafe featuring yet another Cristiano Ronaldo hat trick.

Second-half goals from Javier Hernandez, James Rodriguez, Jese and Marcelo earned victory but Real's season will still...
