Juraj Kucka's 89th-minute header lifted Genoa to a 3-2 win over Inter Milan after the Grifoni twice hit back from a goal down.

With the game seemingly heading for a draw, with neither side able to find the net in the second half after sharing four goals in a thrilling opening 45 minutes, Kucka sealed victory.

Inter had earlier taken leads through Mauro Icardi and Rodrigo Palacio, but they were cancelled out quickly by Leonardo Pavoletti and Maxime Lestienne respectively.

Andrea Bertolacci celebrates his goal in Genoa's victory over AC Milan.

AC Milan fans spelled out their deepening frustration over the Serie A giants' malaise before a match which ended as a 3-1 home defeat to Genoa.

The 18-time Italian champions have spent most of the current season in mid-table and look destined to be there in five games' time when this campaign ends.

Europa League-chasing Genoa built a two-goal lead at San Siro through Andrea Bertolacci and M'Baye Niang before Philippe Mexes inspired a glimmer of hope with a classy response shortly after the hour.
