Paris Saint-Germain head coach Laurent Blanc said that he has limited options to rotate his squad ahead of next week's Champions League match against Chelsea.

Paris Saint-Germain captain Thiago Silva has named three young Brazilian defenders he believes will follow in his footsteps to star in Europe.

After an injury-hit start to the Ligue 1 season, Silva has recently recaptured the form that earned him as reputation as one of the world's best defenders.

Though the 30-year-old remains a formidable barrier to opposing strikers, Silva can already see those coming through the ranks back in his homeland.

Over 100 fans arrested after violence before Fluminense vs. Vasco da Gama

Violence occurred outside of the Engenhao stadium on Sunday.

Brazilian police detained more than 100 football fans ahead of a high-profile match in the Rio de Janeiro state championship on Sunday.

Authorities said supporters of Fluminense and Vasco da Gama were taken into custody after fighting outside the Engenhao stadium.

"The first trouble was something we're used to seeing, fights between fans of Vasco and fans of Fluminense," police commander Lt. Col. Joao Guimaraes told Globo News TV, as reported by Reuters.

Argentine midfielder Dario Conca is joining Sven-Goran Eriksson's Shanghai SIPG on a reported $11 million salary.

The staggering salary reported to be offered for Conca's services comes only a year after the former Argentina under-20 international left Chinese Super League club Guangzhou Evergrande, for who he scored scored 55 goals in 100 appearances.
