Juventus will begin the defence of their Serie A title with a home game against Fiorentina, with that fixture the pick of the opening day games in the 2016-17 season schedule.

Giuseppe Rossi and Mario Gomez could stay put - Fiorentina chief

Giuseppe Rossi spent last season on loan at Levante in La Liga.

Giuseppe Rossi and Mario Gomez could both spearhead the Fiorentina attack next season, according to the club's executive president Mario Cognigni.

Both forwards have been on the transfer market since spending last season out on loan, but Cognigni has not ruled out keeping hold of them this summer with Rossi impressing in preseason and Gomez showing he is back to his best for Besiktas and Germany.

Mario Gomez featured for Germany as they reached the semifinals at Euro 2016.

Besiktas president Fikret Orman is still waiting to hear back from Mario Gomez as he hopes to welcome him back to the Turkish champions next season.

Germany international Gomez excelled on a season-long loan from Fiorentina last term, scoring 26 goals in their successful title bid.
