Big-spending Shanghai SIPG made it two wins in a row in the 2017 AFC Champions League as Hulk's spectacular second-half strike earned Andre Villas-Boas' team a 1-0 win over FC Seoul on Tuesday.

The former Porto and Zenit St Petersburg striker -- signed last summer for €55 million -- scored eight minutes into the second half to secure all three points for SIPG, who join Urawa Red Diamonds as first day winners in Group F after the Japanese side's 4-0 trouncing of the Western Sydney Wanderers.

Shanghai Shenhua were knocked out of the AFC Champions League after suffering a 2-0 defeat to Brisbane Roar.

FC Seoul face the most difficult task in the group stage of the 2017 Asian Champions League (ACL), according to Dejan Damjanovic, whose side are preparing to take on Chinese big spenders Shanghai SIPG.

The South Korean club host the Chinese Super League side, who brushed off Thailand's Sukhothai in the playoff round to book their place in the group stage of the competition.

Park Chu-young's goal gave FC Seoul a 1-0 win over Jeonbuk Motors on the final matchday.

Former Arsenal striker Park Chu-young won the South Korean title for FC Seoul on Sunday afternoon in a dramatic last day of the season.

A fierce second-half finish from Park, who played just seven English Premier League minutes for the Arsene Wenger's team from 2011 to 2014, gave Seoul a 1-0 win over leaders Jeonbuk Motors to go top of the league for the first time in the 2016 K-League Classic season.
