Vancouver Whitecaps sign attacker Yordy Reyna from Red Bull Salzburg

Yordy Reyna has moved to MLS from Salzburg.

The Vancouver Whitecaps signed attacker Yordy Reyna from Austrian champions Red Bull Salzburg on Monday.

Reyna signed a two-year deal with the MLS club, who hold options for a further two seasons and used targeted allocation money to acquire the 23-year-old.

The Peru internation has scored 14 goals in 41 league appearances with Red Bull Salzburg and Grodig over the past three seasons.

Dayot Upamecano was linked with a number of top European clubs.

RB Leipzig have signed defender Dayot Upamecano from Red Bull Salzburg on a contract until 2021.

Upamecano, 18, made 21 appearances for Salzburg in all competitions this term, and was linked with a host of other clubs including Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Arsenal and Manchester United.

Red Bulls say Jesse Marsch to remain with MLS team amid Salzburg links

Jesse Marsch will remain in MLS as the coach of the New York Red Bulls, the team says.

The New York Red Bulls say Jesse Marsch will remain as head coach amid reports he would shift to become manager of Austrian club Red Bull Salzburg.

On Wednesday, Goal.com reported that Marsch was headed to Salzburg, while MLSSoccer.com said the teams -- both owned by the soft drink corporation -- were in "seious talks."

But the MLS team released a statement on Twitter on Thursday that said Marsch would remain in the United States.

RB Leipzig are remaining coy over reports that they are closing in on a move for Red Bull Salzburg defender Dayot Upamecano.

Upamecano, 18, has decided to make the switch to Germany, football magazine kicker reported, saying that Leipzig will pay more than €10m to Salzburg for him.
