San Jose Earthquakes seal signings of Florian Jungwirth and Danny Hoesen

Florian Jungwirth has completed his move to the San Jose Earthquakes.

The San Jose Earthquakes completed the long-awaited signings of German midfielder Florian Jungwirth and Dutch forward Danny Hoesen on Thursday.

Earlier on Thursday, a league source told ESPN FC that the Earthquakes had also agreed in principle on a deal to bring FC Lucerne and Albania midfielder Jahmir Hyka to the club.

Darwin Quintero's potential move to the San Jose Earthquakes will not proceed, sources say.

The San Jose Earthquakes have ceased their pursuit of Club America forward Darwin Quintero, multiple league sources told ESPN FC.

However, the Quakes are making progress on acquiring midfielder Jahmir Hyka, forward Danny Hoesen, and forward Marco Urena, sources said.

San Jose had made Quintero's signing a priority this offseason but ultimately decided to walk away from a proposed deal that would have required a $5 million transfer fee and an annual salary of $2.5 million.

Socceroos defender Jason Davidson has signed for Dutch side FC Groningen on a season-long loan deal from Huddersfield Town.
