Everton want Augsburg's Ragnar Klavan - agent

Ragnar Klavan (right) is considering leaving Augsburg for Everton, according to his agent.

Everton have registered their interest in Augsburg centre-back Ragnar Klavan, the player's agent has told kicker.

Klavan played every single minute of the Bundesliga season for Augsburg as they finished fifth in the table.

The 29-year-old, who joined from Dutch side AZ Alkmaar in 2012, picked up just one booking and won 65 percent of his tackles during the season as the club secured their place in next season's Europa League.

The Estonia international's performances have led to interest from Everton...

Augsburg booked their place in the Europa League next season by beating Borussia Monchengladbach 3-1 to hold off the challenge of Borussia Dortmund.

Raffael gave the hosts the lead against the run of play in the 37th minute, but Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg earned the Bavarians their first ever qualification for Europe with just under 20 minutes remaining at the Borussia Park Stadion.

Tim Matavz ensured they even made it into the group stage with a second while Sascha Molders put the cherry on top with a...

Hannover celebrated their first win of 2015 to move out of the bottom three and compromise Augsburg's hopes of qualifying for Europe next season with a 2-1 win at the Augsburg Arena.

Lars Stindl scored both goals for the Lower Saxony side, who finished up with 10 men following a red card to Hiroki Sakai, playing against nine men.

Paul Verhaegh, who had equalised for the hosts, was shown a second yellow card in the last minute with Raul Bobadilla joining him for an early bath in stoppage time.

Augsburg kept their Europa League hopes alive with an unexpected but far from undeserved 1-0 Bundesliga win at Bavarian rivals Bayern Munich.

Raul Bobadilla scored the only goal of the game as Augsburg made the most of an extra man since the 15th minute, when Pepe Reina was sent off.

Markus Weinzierl's men missed a penalty too, but came away from the Allianz Arena with all three points and rise to fifth in the table with two games of the season remaining.

Bayern will now focus all of their efforts...

Augsburg only just managed to keep hold of their place inside the top six, but a 0-0 draw at home to Cologne leaves them still with work to do if they are to play in Europe next season.

Chances were few and far between in Bavaria with neither side wanting to take any risk, and the goalless draw was a fair outcome.

It leaves Augsburg only a point ahead of seventh-placed Werder Bremen with three games of the season still to play, while Cologne are still not mathematically safe, just six points above...
