Tom Taiwo and Botti Biabi are back in the Falkirk squad for the visit of Cowdenbeath.

Taiwo is available again after serving a suspension while Biabi has recovered from an injury. However, Rory Loy is not yet ready to return from his ankle problem.

Victory for Falkirkm would see them climb up to fourth in the table and above Queen of the South.

Bairns boss Peter Houston said: "We had the chance to jump above Queen of the South at the weekend but failed to take it. We lost a game I did not think we should...

Dumbarton dented Falkirk's promotion hopes with a 1-0 victory against the Bairns.

Archie Campbell's superb strike will get the headlines but Sons goalkeeper Danny Rogers made some timely saves to ensure the hosts won all three points.

The closest either team went to scoring in the first half came just before half-time when Craig Sibbald curled an effort narrowly wide.

Rogers helped John Baird's shot over the crossbar before denying the same player with a brilliant one-handed save early in the second...

John Baird grabbed the winner as Falkirk edged past 10-man Cowdenbeath 1-0.

Defeat means the hosts have kept just three Scottish Championship clean sheets this season and stay second bottom.

Kenny Adamson was sent off late on for the hosts, who have now lost their last three games.

Declan Hughes and Baird traded half chances before the break before the Falkirk striker netted his eighth goal of the season.

Baird nodded in Tom Taiwo's cross five minutes after the break for the winner and Cowdenbeath never...

The league leaders started brightly and went ahead in the 28th minute when Walker swept the ball in from the middle of the box after brilliant work on the left wing by Osman Sow.

Sow came close to doubling the visitors' lead in the 42nd minute but his close-range effort was kept out by Falkirk keeper Jamie MacDonald.

Hearts flew out of the blocks in the second period...

Two goals in the final 11 minutes moved Falkirk to within five points of third-placed Rangers with a 3-1 win at Alloa.

The Bairns were under the cosh in the early stages and Daryll Meggatt sent a free header over the crossbar before Jamie MacDonald pulled off a fine save to deny Ryan McCord.

Once they had weathered that storm, the visitors were able to get a foothold in the game and stole into a 17th-minute lead as Luke Leahy smashed home at the far post.

Alloa pulled themselves level just before the...
