Dundee United moved to the top of the Ladbrokes Championship in style with a 3-0 victory over struggling Falkirk.

The Tangerines had the game wrapped up by half-time thanks to goals from Scott McDonald, Jamie Robson and Willo Flood.

United had already hit the bar through Billy King when McDonald hooked a deflected cross over his head and into the net to give the hosts a 21st-minute lead.

The home side continued to dominate and ended Falkirk's challenge in the final five minutes of the half as Robson...

Inverness reached the semi-finals of the Irn-Bru Cup as Connor Bell's second-half goal earned them a 1-0 win over Championship rivals Falkirk.

The Bairns dominated the early stages of the tie as Myles Hippolyte fired over from the edge of the area before seeing a header cleared off the line.

Inverness started the second half on the front foot and a cross by Bell found Alex Cooper, but his header was tipped over the bar by Falkirk goalkeeper Robbie Thomson.

The home side took the lead just before the...

Falkirk's Kevin O'Hara gets 8-game ban for insulting Dean Shiels' missing eye

Dean Shiels had his right eye removed in 2006.

The Scottish FA has banned Falkirk's Kevin O'Hara for eight matches for making fun of an opponent who is missing an eye.

O'Hara was handed the suspension for "excessive misconduct" during a match against Dunfermline on Oct. 7 in the Scottish Challenge Cup.

O'Hara reportedly insulted Dunfermline player Dean Shiels for his missing eye during the match.

Shiels reportedly lost sight in his right eye as a child. He later had it removed in 2006.

Falkirk said in a statement that "the club take note of...

Rafa De Vita struck an extra-time winner as Livingston beat Championship rivals Falkirk 2-1 in the Betfred Cup.

De Vita bundled home from close range in front of a 2,677 crowd which was boosted by Falkirk's offer of free entry to pupils who had received their exam results earlier in the day.

Myles Hippolyte and Nathan Austin went close as Falkirk made the early running but Scott Robinson gave Livingston the lead on the break in the 31st minute when he turned home Danny Mullen's cross from close range.

Kudus Oyenuga headed a late winner as Morton won 1-0 at Falkirk and moved level on points with their second-placed hosts in the Scottish Championship.

Substitute striker Oyenuga, a second-half replacement for Lawrence Shankland, struck the only goal late on to halt Falkirk's nine-game unbeaten league run.

Shankland, plus Falkirk pair Peter Grant and John Baird, were all off target when well placed in the early stages of a goalless first half.

Visiting goalkeeper Derek Gaston comfortably held Fraser...
