Inverness won the William Cup Scottish Cup for the first time in the club's 21-year-history with a dramatic 86th-minute goal by substitute James Vincent.

Caley Thistle striker Marley Watkins scored a deserved opener in the 38th minute as the Premiership side dominated.

However, the Bairns came storming back after the break and Caley Thistle defender Carl Tremarco was handed a straight red card by referee Willie Collum for a 'last man' tackle on Blair Alston.

When Falkirk defender Peter Grant levelled...

Photographer breaks Scottish Cup trophy one week before final

The winners of the Scottish Cup, such as former Celtic boss Neil Lennon in 2013, handle replicas of the original trophy.

The original Scottish Cup trophy is so old that the winners only handle a replica each year, and an accident on Friday showed why that's such a good idea.

The replica was present at an event hosted by finalists Inverness when a photographer accidentally knocked it over. A figurine of a footballer on top of the lid was knocked off and broken.

Hibernian beat Rangers to second place in the Scottish Championship with a convincing 3-0 win over Falkirk.

The Edinburgh side knew they had to better Rangers' result against Hearts, and they made sure of claiming the runners-up spot thanks to goals from Martin Boyle, Jason Cummings and Dominique Malonga.

They will now bid to return to the top flight via two less play-off games than they would have faced if they had finished third.

Hibs, who named an unchanged side following last week's win over Alloa,...

Nicky Law salvaged a point for Rangers with his last-gasp equaliser but still saw his side drop to third place after their 2-2 Scottish Championship draw with Falkirk at Ibrox.

John Baird put Peter Houston's William Hill Scottish Cup finalists ahead after 57 minutes and Tom Taiwo doubled their lead four minutes later courtesy of a gaffe from Lee McCulloch which led to boos for the home captain.

But the Bairns were denied their first win over Gers in Glasgow since August 1994 as Haris Vuckic and then...

Falkirk booked their place in the William Hill Scottish Cup final with a smash-and-grab 1-0 win over Hibernian at Hampden Park.

The dominant Easter Road side hit the post just before the break through Fraser Fyvie and again in the second half through fellow midfielder Scott Allan, with the Bairns rarely threatening.

However, the Hibees were stunned in the 74th minute when Falkirk midfielder Craig Sibbald headed in a Blair Alston cross to set up a meeting on May 30 with either Inverness or Celtic.
