Jennison Myrie-Williams and Rory Donnelly bagged the goals as Tranmere inflicted a third straight home defeat on Exeter with a 2-1 win at St James Park.

After a rather drab first 25 minutes in which neither side really threatened, Rovers broke the deadlock with the first meaningful attempt on goal.

Lee Molyneux crossed to the back post and found Myrie-Williams, who squeezed the ball home from an acute angle.

However, the lead lasted for just eight minutes as Alex Nicholls won a free-kick just outside...

Substitute James Roberts produced a superb finish from 20 yards two minutes into stoppage time to earn Oxford a 2-2 draw with Exeter at the Kassam Stadium.

The Grecians, behind early on, looked to be heading for victory when they went 2-1 up after 87 minutes with Alex Nichols looping a header in from close range.

But Roberts worked space for himself on the edge of the area and curled a left-foot shot in off the post.

Oxford had taken the lead in the 18th minute when leading scorer Danny Hylton volleyed...

Exeter ended their three-game losing streak with a 3-2 victory in a see-saw encounter at Mansfield.

The Stags, who could have hit double figures on another day, were 1-0 down at the break but bagged two goals in 11 minutes in the second half to lead. However, they conceded again before throwing the game away as Martin Riley's terrible back-pass gifted Exeter a penalty winner.

Mansfield created several scoring chances. Arron Davies blocked a Riley header on the line after eight minutes before Vadaine...

First-half goals from Marc Richards and John-Joe O'Toole saw Northampton earn a 2-0 away win at Exeter.

City had several good chances early on with Tom Nichols twice going close, while Arron Davies was denied a spectacular long-range goal by a superb flying save from Matt Duke as the home side bombarded the visitor's goal.

However, the Grecians paid the price for not taking their chances when they were undone by a cross from Brendan Moloney after 20 minutes, which was flicked on and Richards bundled...

Tom Aldred struck two minutes into stoppage time to earn Accrington a 2-1 win at Exeter.

Aldred reacted quickest after Exeter goalkeeper James Hamon had made a superb save to shoot home with a fierce drive from 12 yards.

Exeter were playing their first game since the club record B£1.75million sale of midfield starlet Matt Grimes and missed his creativity.

Exeter dominated the first half, although Accrington had their chances. Lee Molyneux was denied by a superb Hamon save and Nicky Hunt skied high,...
