Claude Makelele leaves Swansea, named coach of Belgian side Eupen

Claude Makalele won honours with Real Madrid, Chelsea and PSG during his playing career.

Claude Makelele has left his position as a coach at Swansea and been appointed boss of struggling Belgian side Eupen.

The former France international midfielder worked as an assistant coach at Paris Saint-Germain before a brief, unsuccessful stint as head coach at Bastia during the 2014-15 season.

He also worked behind the scenes at Monaco before joining Paul Clement's backroom staff at Swansea City last January.

Everton confirm Henry Onyekuru arrival from Eupen on five-year deal

Phil Murphy breaks down why Nigerian 19-year-old starlet Henry Onyekuru is a name high on many clubs' transfer wish lists.

Everton have confirmed the signing of Eupen striker Henry Onyekuru on a five-year contract.

Onyekuru, 20, will spend next season on loan with Belgian champions Anderlecht where he will play in the Champions League.

"My loan move to Anderlecht is a good step for me and a welcome development because striking a deal is not all about the money involved," he said in an interview with SCORENigeria.

"I am looking forward to another great season in Belgium as well as to feature in the Champions League....
