Eibar to give gate proceeds from Copa del Rey tie to Galicia fire victims

Deadly blazes, blamed on arsonists, swept across Galicia earlier this week.

Eibar have said they will donate the gate proceeds from Wednesday's Copa del Rey match against Celta Vigo to people affected by the recent wildfires in Galicia.

Deadly blazes swept across the region earlier this week, killing at least three people. Spain's prime minister, Mariano Rajoy, blamed the fires on arsonists.

Marco Asensio scores brace in Real Madrid draw; Ganso gives Sevilla win

Valencia looked as if they would steal three points in the Bernabeu, until Marco Asensio produced another moment of magic.

Two goals from Marco Asensio weren't enough as Real Madrid slumped to a 2-2 home draw against Valencia on Sunday.

Defending La Liga champions Real took the lead after 10 minutes when Asensio, who's been one of Europe's most impressive players in the young season, cut in from the right and curled his left-footed shot past Valencia keeper Neto from just outside the box.

Levante edge Villarreal late in return to top flight; Eibar hold off Malaga

Jose Morales scored the only goal as Levante defeated Villarreal.

A late penalty from captain Jose Morales gave Levante a 1-0 win over Villarreal in their La Liga return at Ciutat de Valencia.

The Segunda Division champions went close at the end of the first half when a header from Alex Alegria hit the underside of the crossbar.
