East Fife will include former Hibs, Celtic and Scotland striker Derek Riordan as a trialist for the second time when Annan visit Bayview.

The Fifers will also have trialist goalkeeper Scott Bennett involved as Jordan Millar is ruled out with an ankle injury.

Caolan McAleer and Kevin Smith remain sidelined with knee injuries while Nathan Austin is rated doubtful as player/manager Gary Naysmith looks for his men to move to within a point of the Galabank side, who sit fourth in the table.

Naysmith said:...

East Fife moved within four points of the play-offs after seeing off East Stirling 2-1 at the Bayview Stadium.

The hosts took the lead after 43 minutes when forward Sean Dickson found the top corner with a brilliant long-range strike.

Midfielder Maxwell Wright came close to an equaliser for Stirling but his header was well-held by goalkeeper Allan Fleming.

The Fifers extended their advantage in the 67th minute when an unnamed trialist teed-up Dickson to fire home from distance.

Fraser Mullen's 90th-minute strike snatched a 1-1 draw for East Fife against Clyde.

There was little to choose between the two sides in an even first half, with Scott Ferguson going close for Clyde before the break.

And it was the visitors that stole into the lead 20 minutes after the restart when Brian McQueen headed home Scott Durie's cross.

Ola Adeyemo missed three decent chances to level for the hosts as it looked like Clyde would take the points.

But Mullen rescued his team-mates when he converted...

East Fife maintained their charge for the League Two play-off places as they won 3-0 away at Montrose.

The Fifers sit five points behind fourth-placed Annan but have two games in hand on their rivals.

It was actually the home side that made the brighter start to the game with Garry Wood dragging his effort wide of the post.

But the visitors took the lead through Sean Dickson on the half-hour mark, heading home Fraser Mullen's cross from close range.

Wood and Ross McCord had the best chances for the hosts,...

Albion dropped points for the second straight game and missed out on the chance to move top of League Two again courtesy of a 3-2 defeat to East Fife.

Rovers, who originally missed the chance to reach the summit when losing to Elgin over the weekend, were undone by a Kevin Smith brace, which came either side of Nathan Austin's effort, with three goals coming in the final 10 minutes of a breathless encounter.

Knowing they only needed a point to move into pole position, Albion started brightly with John...
