East Fife player/manager Gary Naysmith is an injury doubt ahead of the visit of bottom of the table Montrose.

Naysmith will put himself through a fitness test before kick-off along with Stevie Campbell and Nathan Austin as the Fifers look to bounce back from their midweek 4-1 defeat from Berwick Rangers.

Julen Etxabeguren is missing with an ankle injury and Liam Smith is on Scotland Under-19 duty.

"We played poorly against Berwick and there is no hiding from that," Naysmith admitted. "We had played...

Berwick boosted their Scottish League Two play-off hopes with a 4-1 victory over East Fife at Bayview Stadium.

Paul Wills shot wide from the edge of the box in the 11th minute for the visitors before giving them the lead three minutes later when he got on the end of Scott Maxwell's cross to drive the ball beyond Jordan Millar.

Andrew Russell almost doubled the lead in the 21st minute after a great move involving Scott Maxwell and Ross Gray but Millar produced a fine save to deny him.

Caolan McAleer's stoppage-time strike secured East Fife a 2-0 victory over Arbroath at Bayview Stadium.

Simon Murray nearly put the visitors into an early lead before Gary Naysmith's men were awarded a penalty. Derek Riordan's resulting spot-kick was saved by Arbroath's Marc McCallum to keep his side level.

But Riordan soon made amends as he fired East Fife into the lead before the interval, nestling a pinpoint free-kick into the bottom corner.

Nathan Austin nearly doubled the home side's tally as...

East Stirling's recent improvement continued with a 2-0 victory against East Fife.

Goals in each half from Chris Townsley and Kevin Nisbet gave The Shire a fifth win in the last seven league matches and moved Craig Tully's men to within three points of their opponents, who despite defeat still occupy the final play-off spot.

The hosts went close through an excellent diving header from David Bates before Townsley nodded home David Greenhill's cross after 19 minutes.

An early goal from Ciaran McElroy was enough to give promotion-chasing Queen's Park a 1-0 win over 10-man East Fife.

McElroy notched his second goal of the season in the 11th minute, finishing clinically into the top corner after being sent clear by Ross McPherson.

Nathan Austin was sent off in the first half after picking up two yellow cards, the second for a foul on Gavin Mitchell with the visitors already up against it.

Queen's Park continued to dominate possession with the numerical advantage, but...
