Dieumerci Mbokani near deal to join Norwich from Dyanmo Kiev - sources

Dieumerci Mbokani could be moving to Engand with Norwich City, sources say.

Norwich are closing in on the signing of Dynamo Kiev striker Dieumerci Mbokani, sources have told ESPN FC.

Norwich have held a long-term interest in Mbokani and are keen to lure the DR Congo international to Carrow Road.

Norwich boss Alex Neill has made a new striker one of his top priorities before the transfer window closes and has lined up a deal for Mbokani.

Kiev are willing to let Mbokani leave as he does not figure in Sergei Rebrov's long-term plans.

Chelsea wary of long trips ahead after Champions League draw

Last year no Premier League side made it past the Champions League round of 16. How will they fare this year?

Chelsea face "not an easy draw at all" after they were placed in a Champions League group with Porto, Dynamo Kiev and Maccabi Tel Aviv, former Blues goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini says.

Manager Jose Mourinho is intimately familiar with Porto, having led them to the European title in 2004.

The Blues managed to avoid the elite Madrid clubs that were in Pot 2, but Cudicini, who attended the draw in his role as global ambassador for Chelsea, insisted that Porto will be every bit as difficult.
