AC Milan should sign Andriy Yarmolenko - Andriy Shevchenko

Yarmolenko celebrating with Ukraine
Andriy Yarmolenko has won 58 caps for Ukraine.

Ex-AC Milan striker Andriy Shevchenko has urged his former club to sign his Ukrainian compatriot Andriy Yarmolenko.

Yarmolenko, 26, plies his trade at Dynamo Kiev but has been linked with a move to the Premier League this summer.

Shevchenko, who scored 127 Serie A goals for Milan, rates the winger highly and believes he could shine at the San Siro.

In a phone interview with Milan Channel, Shevchenko said: "In Ukraine we have Yarmolenko, whom I like a lot.

"He plays wide on the right but he can also...

Everton to bid again for Dynamo Kiev forward Andriy Yarmolenko - sources

Everton will make fresh moves to sign Dynamo Kiev forward Andriy Yarmolenko this summer and have also entered the race to sign Santos star Lucas Lima, sources have told ESPN.

New Everton shareholder Farhad Moshiri has vowed to do all he can to bring the club back towards the top of the Premier League and has outlined an ambitious programme of investment that will include the capture of some marquee signings this summer.

Ukraine international Yarmolenko is a long-time target for Everton boss Roberto...

Shakhtar and Dynamo Kiev rivalry could hurt Ukraine at Euro 2016

Andriy Yarmolenko (left) and Taras Stepanenko have history.

Few expected the big Ukrainian Clasico between Shakhtar Donetsk and Dynamo Kiev to make huge headlines Sunday. After all, it was a rather meaningless fixture, given the fact that Dynamo had secured their second championship title in a row before the game.

Man City reach UCL quarters, but without Kompany they may plateau

ESPN FC's Alexis Nunes breaks down the latest from social media; including Vincent Kompany's woes and Bayern Munich's birthday trolling.

Manchester City advanced to the quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League for the first time in their history after a drab 0-0 draw against Dynamo Kiev on Tuesday, but the Etihad could hardly have been gloomier. The game had been rendered almost meaningless by City's 3-1 win in Ukraine in the first leg, but what happened in the first five minutes was even more unthinkable than losing.

Vincent Kompany, the captain and driving force behind City, limped off with another calf problem that could end...

Vincent Kompany out 'minimum of one month' for Manchester City - Pellegrini

MANCHESTER -- Vincent Kompany looks set to be out for at least a month after limping out of Manchester City's Champions League clash with Dynamo Kiev with a recurrence of his calf muscle injury.

City progressed to the quarterfinals for the first time in their history with a 0-0 draw following their 3-1 first leg victory in Ukraine last month.

But the night was marred by an injury to captain Kompany, who hobbled off the pitch after just seven minutes of the match with another calf strain -- the 14th...
