Reinhard Hafner, pictured in 2008, was a legendary figure at Dynamo Dresden.

East Germany and Dynamo Dresden legend Reinhard Hafner has died at the age of 64.

Hafner was part of East Germany's greatest success when they won the gold medal at the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal, contributing the final goal in the 3-1 win over Poland in the final.

RB Leipzig have slammed Dynamo Dresden fans as "tasteless" after a severed cow's head was thrown from the stands during Saturday's DFB Pokal clash.

Kevin Mirallas and Everton lost to German side Dynamo Dresden on Friday.

Gerard Deulofeu scored on a sharp free kick but Everton lost to Dynamo Dresden in their first game of the Dresden Cup on Friday night.

Erich Berko scored from close range for the German second-division team before Deulofeu equalised with a free kick that grazed the underside of the bar.

Everton seemed to be in control in the second half but against the run of play Pascal Testroet stunned the Toffees with a 25-yard shot that went in off the post.
