Crystal Palace enjoyed a comfortable afternoon at Dover.

Alan Pardew believes an extended FA Cup run can breed a "winning mentality" to aid Crystal Palace in their Premier League relegation battle.

New boss Pardew took charge of Palace for the first time after leaving Newcastle in Sunday's 4-0 FA Cup third-round victory away at Conference side Dover.

Centre-half Dann tucked away two first-half goals to stave off any threat of a shock and Gayle added a third to put the result beyond doubt,...

Conference club Dover host Palace in Sunday's FA Cup third-round tie, aiming to ruin new manager Pardew's first match at the Eagles helm.

Pardew had a hand in Palace training on Friday before finally completing his move from Newcastle in time to coach Saturday's last session before the Dover trip.

Dover will make club history if they reach the fourth round, and manager Kinnear believes Pardew's arrival...

Non-leaguers Dover shocked Cheltenham to book their place in the FA Cup third round thanks to a late goal from skipper Connor Essam.

And it was no more than the Conference side deserved having rattled the upright just moments earlier.

Dover had started the game the better with a looping volley from Nick Deverdics being tipped over the bar by Robins keeper Trevor Carson in the 16th minute, with Tom Murphy forcing another good save moments later after he had found space inside the area.

Cheltenham then...
