CAS cuts Arijan Ademi's four-year doping ban in half after appeal

Arijan Ademi will now only be banned until October.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has cut Arijan Ademi's doping ban from four years to two after the Dinamo Zagreb and Macedonia midfielder persuaded an appeal panel he had not intentionally cheated.

Ademi, 26, tested positive for the steroid stanozolol after Dinamo's 2-1 Champions League win over Arsenal in September 2015.

Two months later, European football's governing body UEFA gave him a four-year ban.

A UEFA appeals panel upheld that decision last May.

Marko Grujic remains an important player for Liverpool - agent

On Liverpool's 125-year anniversary, Steve Nicol recollects some of his favourite Liverpool moments.

Liverpool midfielder Marko Grujic will not be joining Dinamo Zagreb on loan, the player's agent has said.

Zdravko Mamic, an advisor for the Croatian outfit, told Blic earlier this week that he was keen to sign the 20-year-old on a temporary deal. 

Grujic moved to Liverpool from Red Star Belgrade in the summer, but has been limited to just five appearances for Jurgen Klopp's side this season.

Dinamo Zagreb fans ran into trouble outside of Juventus Stadium on Wednseday.

TURIN, Italy -- About 1,000 Dinamo Zagreb fans have reportedly been pushed back with water hoses after breaking through police lines before a Champions League match at Juventus.

The ANSA news agency reports that tensions were high outside the Juventus Stadium about 90 minutes before kick-off of the Group H match.

Dinamo are assured of finishing last in the group, while Juventus are attempting to secure first place.

Juventus have already qualified for the knockout phase.
