James Rodriguez, Jackson Martinez suffer minor injuries

Real Madrid star James Rodríguez injured his knee and Atletico Madrid forward Jackson Martinez suffered a bruise on his tibia in Colombia's 1-1 draw against Peru during a friendly on Tuesday in Harrison, New Jersey. Team doctor Carlos Ulloa confirmed both of the injuries, saying that Martinez's injury was a "minor bruise."

"James' knee shows trauma, but it is nothing major and he was taken off the pitch as a preventive measure," Ulloa said. "We are evaluating, but it is apparently nothing serious....

Atletico complete signings of Rafael Santos Borre, Matias Kranevitter

Deportivo Cali and Colombia under-20 star Rafael Santos Borre is likely to return to his old club on loan.

Atletico Madrid sealed the dual signings of Colombian striker Rafael Santos Borre and Argentine midfielder Matias Kranevitter on Friday.

Santos Borre, 19. completed a €5 million move, signing a six-year deal that will see him stay at the Colombian club Deportivo Cali on loan for the 2015-16 season.

Kranevitter, 22, signed a five-year contract after an €8m fee was agreed. He will stay at River Plate on loan until January.

Atletico Madrid have agreed to sign young Colombian striking prospect Rafael Santos Borre for a fee of about €5 million, according to the player's agent.
