Newport's play-off hopes suffered another heavy blow as they were stunned 3-2 by Dagenham at Rodney Parade.

The defeat compounded a miserable week for the Exiles, after striker Chris Zebroski was jailed for four years and four months on Friday.

Three goals in 11 second-half minutes from Ashley Hemmings, Christian Doige and Alex Jakubiak sent County crashing to their fourth straight reverse.

Aaron O'Connor and David Tutonda scored consolation goals, but they could not stop the Exiles slipping into ninth...

Dag & Red midfielder Joss Labadie banned for six months for biting

Joss Labadie has been banned for six months after being found guilty of a second biting offence.

The Football Association has banned Dagenham & Redbridge midfielder Joss Labadie for six months following a second biting offence by the player.

Labadie was last month charged with violent conduct by the FA after he was accused of sinking his teeth into the hand of Stevenage defender Ronnie Henry during Dagenham's 1-0 win at the Lamex Stadium on March 28.

It is not the first time the 24-year-old has committed this offence -- he was banned for 10 matches last season after biting Chesterfield's...

Dagenham failed to break down Luton despite the visitors playing for 52 minutes with 10 men.

Ryan Hall nearly scored an opener for the Hatters after just 15 seconds at Victoria Road, but he poked wide after Scott Doe's poor header.

Paul Benson came close to scoring in the seventh minute, but Joe Widdowson headed off the line to prevent the former Dagger netting against his former club.

The hosts slowly worked themselves back into the encounter and Jamie Cureton fired into the side-netting before Hatters...

Carlisle responded to manager Keith Curle's rallying call with a vital 1-0 win over Dagenham to go six points clear of the relegation places.

A goal early in the second half by on-loan Bradford midfield man Jason Kennedy was enough to see off an unambitious Daggers outfit as Carlisle ended a four match losing run to go fifth bottom.

Carlisle had the better of first half exchanges but, in a difficult swirling wind, both sides had problems creating many clear chances.

Jamie Cureton's hat-trick helped Dagenham romp past rivals AFC Wimbledon 4-0 at Victoria Road.

Daggers took the lead after two minutes with a wonderful move involving Andre Boucaud, Billy Bingham and Christian Doidge.

The ball eventually dropped to Cureton and he headed in, despite Barry Fuller's best efforts on the line.

Dons tried to respond and should have equalised in the 24th minute when Alfie Potter crossed in from the left, but Craig Tanner headed wide from close range.

It remained 1-0 at half...
