Crystal Palace are poised to sign former Liverpool goalkeeper Diego Cavalieri on a free transfer, sources close to the club have told ESPN FC.

Palace boss Roy Hodgson is looking to add to his goalkeeping options after losing Julian Speroni for a couple of months because of a knee injury.

Crystal Palace's Wilfried Zaha out at least a month with knee injury

Crystal Palace have not won a game without Wilfried Zaha since September 2016.

Crystal Palace's Wilfried Zaha will miss approximately a month after injuring a knee during the draw with Newcastle United on Feb. 4, manager Roy Hodgson said on Thursday.

Zaha, who has scored four goals this season, was originally expected by the club to be out longer, but Hodgson said the winger has recovered well in the days following the injury.

Roy Hodgson confirms Bakary Sako is out for the rest of the season

Crystal Palace have been dealt a major blow in their survival battle after Roy Hodgson confirmed that Bakary Sako is ruled out for the rest of the season.

Sako was forced off in the first half of the Eagles' 1-1 draw at West Ham on Tuesday, and scans have revealed he has suffered a fractured ankle and damaged ligaments. 

"Baky's injury is a very serious one. He's fractured his ankle and damaged ligaments around it," Hodgson told a news conference.
