Tensions flare towards the end of the first half as Wilfried Zaha was accused of diving in the penalty area by Watford players.
Crystal Palace pulled a point further away from the drop zone after a niggly 0-0 draw with Watford, at Vicarage Road.

Roy Hodgson insisted Crystal Palace should have been awarded a penalty in their 0-0 draw at Watford and defended Wilfried Zaha as "anything other than a cheat and a diver."

Palace's relegation fears persist after they were largely outplayed at Vicarage Road, where Zaha was booked for diving for the second season in succession.

Crystal Palace gets go-ahead on Selhurst Park redevelopment

Selhurst Park

Roy Hodgson has dismissed reports of Crystal Palace seeking to sell Christian Benteke and also insisted that they intend to keep Wilfried Zaha.

Belgian striker Benteke has struggled throughout a season in which he has only scored twice despite being their club-record signing, contributing to suggestions Palace hope to offload him.

Zaha has instead been their most influential player in what increasingly appears likely to be a successful battle against relegation, and to the extent he has been linked...

Gerard Deulofeu, the forward on loan from Barcelona, and defender Sebastian Prodl have both been absent from training due to the illness sweeping the camp.

Manager Javi Gracia did not wish to reveal the names of the other two players who were affected,...
