Thailand and Muang Thong United striker Teerasil Dangda could be set to follow Chanathip Songkrasin to Japan as J.League club Sanfrecce Hiroshima prepare a bid.

Just two weeks after a worrying collapse on the training ground, former England striker Jay Bothroyd struck the two goals that guaranteed Consadole Sapporo's survival in the J.League.

Former England International striker Jay Bothroyd is recovering in hospital in Japan after collapsing and suffering a blackout while training with J.League side Consadole Sapporo on Saturday.

Bothroyd, 35, is a teammate of Thailand international Chanathip Songkrasin in Sapporo, and the news of the ex-Cardiff City forward was first reported by Thai media outlet Siam Sport.

Thailand's football chief has hailed the impact that playing in the J.League has had on the country's biggest name, Chanathip Songkrasin.

Thailand's AFF Suzuki Cup hero Chanathip Songkrasin is making the move to the J.League after agreeing an 18-month loan deal with newly promoted Consadole Sapporo.
