Striker Ola Kamara says Columbus Crew SC are "very hungry" to get off to a good start in 2017 after a "frustrating" season in which the team missed the playoffs.
Just a year removed from reaching the 2015 MLS Cup, Columbus finished ninth in the Eastern Conference last season, six points out of a playoff spot.
But Columbus has already moved to sign Jonathan Mensah as a designated player this offseason, and Kamara told ESPN FC that the team is looking to make up for the disappointment in 2016.
The 2017 MLS SuperDraft concluded with the third and fourth rounds on Tuesday.
The first two rounds of the draft took place last week, with Minnesota United selecting forward Abu Danladi with the first pick.

Former Columbus Crew SC goalkeeper Steve Clark has signed a six-month contract with Danish club AC Horsens.
Clark started 100 straight games for Columbus over the past three seasons, but the MLS club did not pick up his option in December, and the 30-year-old said he wanted to explore options abroad.
"We've made such a great home there. But this is a business and for me, and also I think the Crew, too, it's a good time and a good year to separate," Clark told the Columbus Dispatch.
