Galaxy win with with Gio dos Santos golazo; Diego Fagundez rallies Revs

Gio dos Santos scored a sensational goal, but it was a Christian Ramirez own goal that earned LA a win at Minnesota.

Giovani dos Santos scored from a remarkable volley and a late own goal helped the LA Galaxy beat Minnesota United 2-1 on Sunday.

The Mexico international met Romain Alessandrini's short lob into the box with a flying back-heeled effort that looped over Bobby Shuttleworth to open the scoring in the 38th minute.

Minnesota got back level in the second half from a set piece. Sam Cronin leapt highest to head the ball into the box, and Christian Ramirez read the play well to score the equalizer.

Toronto FC wins club-record sixth straight; Chicago trounces Seattle

Tosaint Ricketts' header proved the winner as Toronto outlasted Minnesota in a back-and-forth goal frenzy.

Tosaint Ricketts turned in a Jozy Altidore cross to help Toronto FC hold off Minnesota United 3-2 for a club-record sixth straight win on Saturday.

Altidore, who only came on as a substitute for the injured Sebastian Giovinco, bullied his way through the expansion club's defenders before delivering for Ricketts to head in the winning goal in the 77th minute.

Kevin Molino scored both of Minnesota's goals to twice erase Toronto's lead, but United could not find a third answer at MLS-leading Toronto.

Toronto FC wins in Seattle; CJ Sapong ends Union's long wait for victory

Greg Vanney's gamble to rest Sebastian Giovinco and other starters didn't backfire, as Toronto earned a win at Seattle.

Jozy Altidore scored from the penalty spot and Toronto FC won 1-0 at the Seattle Sounders on Saturday in a rematch of last year's MLS Cup final.

The United States striker drew the penalty himself when he was bundled into from behind by Roman Torres and made no mistake from the spot for his sixth goal of the season.

Altidore was the main threat in the first half as he also put a cross-goal shot just inches wide of the post, then was denied by a fine save by Stefan Frei in a play reminiscent...
