Oscar Pareja was named MLS Coach of the Year on Thursday after leading FC Dallas to the club's most successful season.
Pareja won with an average of 34 percent of the vote, barely edging out Colorado's Pablo Mastroeni, who finished just under 33 percent.
The Colombian won both the player and media vote, while Mastroeni led among club management. New York City FC's Patrick Vieira was third with nearly 16 percent of the vote.
