Annan consolidated their place in the Scottish League Two play-off places courtesy of a 2-1 victory over Clyde.

The Black and Golds needed just four minutes to open the scoring, David Hopkirk tapping home his sixth goal of the season after Alan Martin had saved Stuart McColm's initial shot.

Clyde pulled themselves level after 32 minutes when David Sinclair left Jake Gemmell with no chance after finding himself in space at the edge of the box.

Nathan Austin headed the Fifers in front inside four minutes following a floated corner from the right by Scott Smith.

It took a long time for them to find their rhythm, but Brian McQueen turned proceedings 10 minutes after the break, heading home strongly after a cross by Scott Ferguson.

Liam Cusack scored the only goal of the game as Albion held out for a 1-0 win over Clyde at the Broadwood Stadium.

Cusack opened the scoring after just 14 minutes when he fired home a crisp strike from a tight angle.

The hosts almost replied immediately but for a fine save from Neil Parry to keep out Euan Smith's stinging effort.

Albion lost the influential Cusack to injury after the break but could have scored again had Scott Chaplain's strike not hit the foot of the post.

Lee Currie helped Berwick ease past 10-man Clyde with a 4-0 win at Shielfield Park. It was the hosts' third win in their last 10 fixtures in Scottish League Two and they took the lead shortly before the half-hour mark when Darren Lavery found Andrew Russell and he made space to fire past Alan Martin.On the stroke of half-time, Russell was hauled down by Martin in the box and Currie's resulting spot-kick was saved.

Defender Shaun Rooney headed the visitors in front on four minutes when he met a Darren Miller corner.
