Australia goalkeeper Mat Ryan completes move to Valencia

Mat Ryan has completed his move to Spanish club Valencia.

Valencia have completed the signing of Mathew Ryan, the Primera Division club have announced.

The Australian international has penned a six-year deal and joins from Club Brugge where he was voted the best goalkeeper in the Belgian Super League for the past two seasons.

"Valencia Football Club have reached an agreement with Belgian side Club Brugge KV to sign Australian international goalkeeper Mathew Ryan on a six-year deal," read a statement on the club's official website.

Mathew Ryan's impressive form since 2013 has earned him a move to Valencia.

Club Brugge have confirmed that Australia goalkeeper Mathew Ryan will join Valencia subject to a medical.

Ryan, 23, joined Brugge from the Central Coast Mariners in 2013, and is set to sign for Primera Division club Valencia after travelling to Spain on Monday.

The Australia international was goalkeeper of the year for the past two seasons in Belgium, and was named best goalkeeper at the 2015 AFC Asian Cup as the Socceroos lifted the trophy on Jan. 31.

Turkish side Fenerbahce landed Ukrainian team Shakhtar Donetsk as Robin van Persie and Nani face a tough test if they are to set up a possible reunion with Manchester United in the Champions League playoffs.

ESPN FC's Paul Mariner and Alexis Nunes discuss Manchester United's possible Champions League playoff opponents and review the side's they'll want to avoid.

Manchester United could face a tricky Champions League playoff against the likes of CSKA Moscow, Lazio, Monaco or Sporting Lisbon in August.

The 15 teams which take part in the non-champions half of the qualifying draw are now known after Lazio held off the challenge of Rafael Benitez led Napoli to hold on to third place in Serie A.

Manchester United, ranked 10th by UEFA, will be the top seeded club in the final qualifying round -- joined by Valencia, Bayer Leverkusen, Shakhtar Donetsk and Ajax....
