Aubameyang carries Dortmund

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored as Borussia Dortmund beat Serie A side Chievo Verona in Austria on Friday night.

Dortmund experimented with three formations and 20 players in the friendly.

Aubameyang broke the deadlock in the 73rd minute when he drove home a loose ball following a corner kick.

Portugal's Sporting beat Italy's Lazio 4-2 on penalties after the match ended 2-2.

Cristiano Biraghi joins Chievo on loan

Cristiano Biraghi spent last season on loan at Catania who were relegated.

Chievo have signed Inter Milan full-back Cristiano Biraghi on a two-year loan deal.

The 21-year-old defender has had limited opportunities to make his mark at the San Siro and has spent much of his professional career out on loan.

Last season, he made 22 appearances as Catania were relegated from Serie A, but he will have another chance to shine with the Flying Donkeys, who had already snapped up Inter teammate Francesco Bardi earlier this week.
