Chicago Fire general manager Nelson Rodriguez has hailed Bastian Schweinsteiger as one of the greatest champions in all of sports following his signing from Manchester United.

World Cup winner Bastian Schweinsteiger has left Manchester United to sign with the Chicago Fire in Major League Soccer.

Schweinsteiger, 32, has been a long-term target for Chicago, having been spotted meeting with Fire manager Veljko Paunovic in November.
