German club condemns fans' anti-Semitic abuse

German club Chemnitzer FC has criticised their fans for anti-Semitic and racist abuse during a third-division game against Bayern Munich's second team on Saturday.

The Saxony-based club, which has long had a problem with far-right fans, say their team refused to go to the traveling supporters after the match, as is customary, because of "comments from the guest block during the second half of the game which Chemnitzer FC finds disgusting and rejects to the utmost."

Daniel Frahn had been fined by Chemnitzer FC earlier this year.

German third-division club Chemnitzer FC have terminated the contract of captain Daniel Frahn after accusing him of "openly displaying his sympathy with the leading figures" of far-right groups associated with the club's supporters scene.

Frahn, 32, missed Saturday's 3-1 defeat at Halle through injury and opted to watch the match from the club's guest fan block where he was standing next to figures of the far-right groups Kaotic Chemnitz and the now-defunct NS-Boys.
