Dan Kilpatrick and Liam Twomey discuss the surprise lineups that played a role in Chelsea and Spurs' FA Cup semifinal.

LONDON -- Antonio Conte does not believe he would be emulating Carlo Ancelotti by winning the Premier League and FA Cup with Chelsea this season because he is managing a Blues squad in transition.

Saturday's 4-2 victory over Tottenham at Wembley kept Chelsea on course to claim a spectacular double in Conte's first season in English football -- a feat that countryman and friend Ancelotti achieved in charge of the Blues in the 2009-10 campaign.

Chelsea stars N'Golo Kante and Eden Hazard are in contention for the Professional Footballers' Association player of the year prize on Sunday evening, but there is only one winner according to Hazard.

Hazard won the award in 2015 after inspiring the Blues to glory under Jose Mourinho, before he and his Chelsea teammates struggled for form last season. However, Kante is the bookmakers' favourite this time around at odds as short as 1/10.

And the Belgium international says that even if he somehow...

Michael Essien scores first Indonesian goal but Persib Bandung draw again

Jason Dasey and Brad Maloney discuss the arrival of Michael Essien and Carlton Cole to Indonesian side, Persib Bandung.

Despite Michael Essien scoring his first goal in Indonesia on Saturday night, Persib Bandung were disappointed to drop two points after being held to a 2-2 draw at PS TNI in the second week of Indonesia's Liga 1.

It means that the 2015 champions are winless after two rounds, despite a massive preseason spending spree to beef up their squad.

Both Essien and his former Chelsea teammate Carlton Cole came on a second-half substitutes, despite reports that they did not have the correct visas for import...

Conte says benching Hazard was always part of the plan against Spurs

Chelsea overcame Tottenham in a back-and-forth thriller at Wembley to make it to the FA Cup final.
FC's Steve Nicol analyses the high octane FA Cup semifinal between Chelsea and Spurs, and how Conte's subs made an impact.

LONDON -- Antonio Conte revealed that he always planned for Eden Hazard to make a decisive impact off the bench after the Belgium star's inspired second-half cameo secured Chelsea a 4-2 win over Tottenham in a thrilling FA Cup semifinal at Wembley.

Hazard and Diego Costa were surprisingly omitted from Chelsea's starting XI to take on their bitter London rivals, but both were introduced in the 61st minute with the score level at 2-2 after strikes from Harry Kane and Dele Alli had cancelled out Willian's...
