ESPN FC's Paul Mariner does not feel Manchester United will immediately be league favourites under Jose Mourinho.

Jose Mourinho's decision to take the Manchester United job after leaving Chelsea is an act of treachery, former Blues defender Frank Leboeuf has jokingly said.

United announced the appointment of Mourinho on a three-year contract to succeed Louis van Gaal on Friday, with the Portuguese saying he feels honoured to manage a club that has "a mystique and romance about it which no other club can match."

Kurt Zouma had originally been expected to be out for six months.

Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma has stepped up his recovery from a serious knee injury and could be fit for the start of next season.

Kenny Dalglish says everyone at Liverpool is behind Jurgen Klopp, despite Liverpool's two losses in cup finals this season.

Jamie Carragher says Chelsea and Liverpool will have an advantage in the 2016-17 Premier League campaign because of their lack of European football next season.

Chelsea's disastrous defence of their 2014-15 title saw Jose Mourinho sacked in December while the Blues stumbled to a 10th-place finish in the league. Meanwhile, Liverpool missed their chance at direct Champions League qualification by losing to Sevilla in the Europa League final last week.

The absence of European dates means the two clubs...

Thibaut Courtois has reiterated that he will be a Chelsea player next season "if nothing major happens," despite persistent speculation linking him with a summer move to Real Madrid.

Chelsea will be without European football altogether under incoming first team head coach Antonio Conte next season, having endured the worst campaign of the Roman Abramovich era and finishing 10th in the Premier League.

This drastic regression has led to reports that key players such as Eden Hazard, Diego Costa and...

Marco Amelia says he has already contacted Antonio Conte to welcome the Italy coach to Chelsea, and hopes he will be able to shun interest from clubs in his homeland to stay at Stamford Bridge next season.

Jose Mourinho signed Amelia in October as emergency cover for Asmir Begovic, after first-choice goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois was sidelined for several months with a knee injury, and the 34-year-old is yet to make a competitive appearance for Chelsea.

But Amelia -- who is out of contract this...
