Boss Steve Clarke told the club's website: "Lucas is a very talented attacking player who can create chances and score goals.

"When we spoke I was impressed by both his maturity and desire to prove himself in English football after some loan moves to European...

Jose Mourinho blames himself for not making the proper substitutes in their loss against Crystal Palace, claiming certain individuals were not performing up to par, but not specifying who he is referring to.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has hinted that he may hand his "young eggs" a chance to shine in the first-team after a difficult start to their defence of the Premier League title.

Mourinho's team have begun the season with just four points from their opening four games after Crystal Palace's 2-1 win at Stamford Bridge on Saturday and are already eight points behind leaders Manchester City.

And, in a bid to turn the Blues around, Mourinho suggested that a dip in form from some of his senior...

Zouma, Falcao say improvement needed if Chelsea are to retain title

ESPN FC's Shaka Hislop says things are going from bad to worse for Jose Mourinho after Crystal Palace inflicted only his 2nd ever home defeat at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho, talks about the defeat at the hands of Crystal Palace while claiming that his side deserved more.

The Chelsea duo of Kurt Zouma and Radamel Falcao have admitted instant improvements are required to keep the side's Premier League title defence on track after a surprisingly slow start to the season.

Crystal Palace's shock 2-1 win at Stamford Bridge on Saturday left Chelsea with just four points from their opening quartet of matches and eight points behind leaders Manchester City.

Zouma, 20, started in Saturday's game in the absence of the suspended John Terry and was absolved of blame for the defeat...
