Simone Padoin leaves Juventus to sign with Cagliari

Simone Padoin has moved to Cagliari in search of first-team football.

Simone Padoin has signed for Cagliari after more than four years of playing a supporting role for Juventus.

The 32-year-old midfielder was a part of five Serie A winning squads during his time in Turin, which began in January 2012 when he left Atalanta, but he made only 84 league appearances for Juve.

Top-flight newcomers Cagliari have now given him an opportunity to play more regular football by handing him a three-year contract at the Stadio Sant'Elia.

The teams agreed a transfer fee of €600,000.

Newly promoted Cagliari have signed veteran Portugal defender Bruno Alves on a two-year contract.

Alves, 34, who won four league titles with Porto before spending time with Zenit St Petersburg and Fenerbahce, will play Serie A football next term after the Sardinians won the second-tier title.

A statement on Cagliari's official website announced 85-cap Alves, who is in Portugal's Euro 2016 squad, had committed to the Rossoblu cause until June 30, 2018.

Juventus sign Brazilian goalkeeper Neto on a free, Storari joins Cagliari

Neto has proven himself to be a capable performer in Serie A.

Juventus have signed Brazilian goalkeeper Norberto Neto on a free transfer.

Neto, 25, was at Fiorentina last season but his contract expired this summer and he has now chosen to continue his career in Turin, signing a four-and-a-half year deal until 2019.

The Brazilian goalkeeper was being tracked by Liverpool earlier this year and came through the Cruzeiro academy before moving on to Atletico Paranaense and Fiorentina in January 2011.

Leeds owner Massimo Cellino has been found guilty of tax evasion and fined €40,000 in an Italian court, according to reports in Sardinia.
