ESPN FC's Gab Marcotti weighs in on the alleged racial abuse directed at Pescara's Sulley Muntari by Cagliari fans.

Cagliari president Tommaso Giuntoli has said the club's fans are not racist despite Pescara's Sulley Muntari being subjected to racial abuse.

Serie A won't punish Cagliari for fans' racism in Sulley Muntari incident

ESPN FC's Gab Marcotti weighs in on the alleged racial abuse directed at Pescara's Sulley Muntari by Cagliari fans.

Cagliari will not be punished for fans' racial chants which prompted Pescara midfielder Sulley Muntari to walk off the pitch during his side's 1-0 defeat in Sardinia on Sunday.

North Korean Kwang Song Han signs Cagliari contract running until 2022

Kwang Song Han first joined Cagliari on trial in February.

Cagliari have secured the services of the first North Korean to play and score in Serie A by tying Kwang Song Han down until 2022.

Han, 18, initially joined the club on trial in February, having first arrived in Italy in 2014 on a student visa as part of a group of North Korean youngsters looking for clubs.

One of them -- Choe Song Hyok -- was signed by Fiorentina last year, but he only made a handful of appearances for their youth team before being released at the end of 2016.

Editor's note: This story was edited after publication to reflect the fact that Jong Tae-Se, a Japan-born North Korea international, played for Cologne during their 2011-12 Bundesliga campaign.

Han Kwang-Song became the first North Korean to play in Serie A when he made his debut for Cagliari on Sunday.

Han, 18, played the final five minutes of the 3-1 win at Palermo after having impressed coach Massimo Rastelli since joining on trial in February.

The forward, a native of the North Korean capital...
