Serie A have confirmed Cagliari are to face no punishment after Juventus midfielder Blaise Matuidi said he "experienced racism" from their supporters during the Bianconeri's 1-0 win on Saturday.

Matuidi condemned chants from Cagliari supporters in a Facebook post he posted upon returning to Turin and received an official apology from the club the following day.

But since the chants were not mentioned in the referee's report and were not heard by any Lega Serie A officials at the Sardegna Arena...

Cagliari have issued an apology to Juventus midfielder Blaise Matuidi after he said he had been the victim of racial abuse during the Bianconeri's 1-0 win in Sardinia on Saturday.

Matuidi wrote on his Facebook page how "weak people try to intimidate with hate. I am not a hater and can only be sorry for those who set bad examples," referring to a group of fans he heard insulting him at the Sardegna Arena on Saturday.

It is the second time that home fans have targeted the former Paris Saint-Germain...

Diego Lopez has returned to Cagliari as their coach, the Serie A side have announced.

Cagliari parted company with Massimo Rastelli on Tuesday after a recent poor run of form.

Lopez, who managed the club in 2013-14, returns after a spell in charge of Palermo.
