Ronny Rodelin's fifth goal of the season helped Caen move out of the Ligue 1 relegation zone after a 1-0 win against Nancy on Tuesday.

Rodelin finished confidently in the 24th minute, collecting a long throw-in, skipping past Modou Diagne and placing the ball through the legs of Belarus goalkeeper Sergey Chernik.

Nancy's hopes of equalising took a blow when 18-year-old defender Faitout Maouassa received a second yellow card and was sent off in the 78th minute for fouling Rodelin, whose free kick...

Mario Balotelli sent off but Nice still win to move second in Ligue 1

Mario Balotelli got his third red card for Nice, for what seems to be dissent after the ref ignored his claims for a foul.

Mario Balotelli was sent off for the third time this season in Ligue 1 as Nice leapfrogged Paris Saint-Germain into second place in the table after a 1-0 win at bottom club Lorient.

Balotelli, a free signing from Liverpool last summer, was shown a straight red card for dissent in the 68th minute.

Kylian Mbappe hat trick puts Monaco clear; Lyon stumble against Guingamp

Kylian Mbappe of Monaco celebrates with Radamel Falcao after scoring in a win against Metz on Saturday.
Kylian Mbappe struck three times for Monaco in a comprehensive win against Metz on Saturday.

Teenager Kylian Mbappe scored a hat-trick as Monaco thrashed Metz 5-0 to move clear again at the Ligue 1 summit.

Radamel Falcao added Monaco's other two goals as the prolific pacesetters restored their three-point advantage over Paris St Germain, who beat Bordeaux 3-0 on Friday night.

The win also extends Monaco's unbeaten run to seven games in Ligue 1, six of which have ended in victory, but the result was marred by an injury to home forward Gabriel Boschilia, who was carried off in a stretcher...

Cavani scores as PSG beat Lille; Monaco see off Montpellier to stay first

PSG won in dramatic fashion, after a late winner cancelled out their keeper's massive error to nearly hand Lille a draw.

Lucas Moura came off the bench to score a stoppage-time winner as Paris Saint-Germain beat Lille 2-1 at Parc des Princes to keep the pressure on at the top of Ligue 1.

A looping header from Edinson Cavani with 20 minutes left looked to have set PSG up for victory, keeping them within striking distance of leaders Monaco.

However, Lille threatened to leave the capital with a share of the points after Nicolas de Preville equalised following a mistake by goalkeeper Alphonse Areola.
