Cambridge drew level in the 25th minute when Tom Elliott headed home Sullay Kaikai's free-kick from the right.

Burton were denied a penalty immediately after half-time when Beavon looked to have been brought down by Josh Coulson but the referee awarded only a...

Burton went in front in the fourth minute after punishing a blunder by Shwan Jalal.

The goalkeeper's clearance was charged down by Stuart Beavon and before the Cobblers could recover, the striker's low cross was finished by Akins.

Burton secured promotion to Sky Bet League One with a superb performance in their 2-1 win over Morecambe at the Globe Arena.

On a memorable day for the Brewers, two goals from Lucas Akins helped Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink's side seal a comfortable victory over a poor Morecambe side to confirm a place in the third tier of English football for the first time in their history as Wycombe were unable to beat AFC Wimbledon.

Burton took a deserved lead on the half-hour mark. Morecambe defender Andy Parrish was...

Burton looked doomed when full-back Damien McCrory's penalty was saved three minutes into stoppage time, but Johnstone pounced on a loose ball in a goalmouth scramble to extend the hosts' unbeaten run to nine games.
