Jeff Hendrick delighted to score first Burnley goal vs. Watford

Burnley boss Sean Dyche has expressed his delight at his team's 'complete' performance against Watford.

Burnley's Jeff Hendrick has set his sights on becoming a regular goal scorer after opening his international and Premier League accounts in the space of three weeks.

Hendrick found the net just twice last season, but was still influential enough in the Derby midfield to persuade Sean Dyche to spend a club record £10.5 million to bring him to Burnley.

Troy Deeney: Watford 'got bullied' in defeat at Burnley

Watford goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes laments his side's inability to continue their strong start to the season following their defeat at Burnley.
Jeff Hendrick discusses what it was like to score his first Premier League goal in Burnley's 2-0 victory over Watford.

Troy Deeney felt Watford were bullied by Burnley in their 2-0 Premier League defeat at Turf Moor.

Walter Mazzarri's men kick-started their season with back-to-back wins over West Ham and Manchester United but they were brought back down to earth by goals from Jeff Hendrick and Michael Keane either side of half-time.

"I have to watch my words so I don't get in trouble," Deeney told Sky Sports 1.

"We got bullied, that's the best way to describe it. We got bullied all over the pitch to a man.

Burnley were priced out of Troy Deeney deal - Sean Dyche

Sean Dyche says Burnley are still trying to develop the mental qualities of experienced Premier League sides.

Burnley boss Sean Dyche admits he was priced out of a move for Watford striker Troy Deeney ahead of the pair's Premier League reunion at Turf Moor on Monday.

Dyche knows the 28-year-old well from his own time at Vicarage Road, where he served as Malky Mackay's assistant before becoming manager for the 2011-12 season.

That was also Deeney's breakthrough campaign, with 10 goals after in 22 matches after the turn of the year and Dyche never lost his regard for the striker, who has gone on to become...
