Manchester United 'noise' no distraction to Burney boss Sean Dyche

Former Man United defender Paul Parker feels Man United's EFL Cup win over City will surely boost their confidence.

Burnley manager Sean Dyche has said he will not be distracted by the "noise" surrounding Manchester United ahead of Burnley's trip to Old Trafford on Saturday.

United go into the game on the back of a 1-0 EFL Cup win over neighbours Manchester City on Wednesday after their 4-0 thrashing by Chelsea.

The Red Devils have won four of their nine league games under Jose Mourinho and are seventh, but Dyche does not buy into suggestions that they have problems.

Burnley must make Turf Moor 'terrible' and win ugly at home - Scott Arfield

Sean Dyche is fully aware Burnley must 'play their game' if they are to defeat some of the Prem's best.

Burnley midfielder Scott Arfield wants Turf Moor to be considered "terrible'' in the eyes of visiting Premier League sides.

The Canada international's last-gasp winner against Everton on Saturday meant the Clarets have taken 10 points from the 18 available at home this year.

Liverpool, Watford and the Toffees have all been defeated already and Arfield wants to make Burnley as inhospitable a place as possible for those venturing to east Lancashire.

Sean Dyche was pleased to discuss a Burnley he is more familiar with after Scott Arfield's late goal maintained their impressive home form against Everton.

A week after a frustrating display at Southampton the Clarets moved on to 10 points, all of which have been attained at Turf Moor, courtesy of a 2-1 success which was earned by Arfield's 90th-minute half volley following an effort from Johann Berg Gudmundsson that struck the crossbar.

Sam Vokes had earlier given the hosts the lead from a Maarten...

Burnley's Sean Dyche 'stunned' by penalty decision vs. Southampton

Sean Dyche credits Southampton's effort and a penalty not being awarded for Burnley's 3-1 loss at St. Mary's.

Burnley boss Sean Dyche was left "stunned" by referee Mike Dean's decision not to award his side a penalty in the first half of their 3-1 Premier League defeat at Southampton.

Dyche's side were comfortably beaten in the end but they had a strong penalty appeal turned down with the game in the balance when Johann Berg Gudmundsson was stopped in his tracks by Virgil van Dijk.

"We knew they were a good side and in a good run of form, especially defensively,'' Dyche told Sky Sports. "It's very difficult...
