Hordur Magnusson signs for Bristol City from Juventus on three-year deal

New Bristol City signing Hordur Magnusson defends Paulo Dybala of Juventus during a loan spell at Cesena.

Bristol City have announced the signing of Juventus defender Hordur Magnusson for an undisclosed fee.

Magnusson, 23, has passed a medical and signed a three-year deal to give manager Lee Johnson his fourth signing of the summer.

The Iceland international, who was with the squad but did not play in their fairytale run to the quarterfinals of Euro 2016 before losing to France 5-2, can slot into central defence or at left-back.

Sergi Canos has made one Premier League appearance for Liverpool.

Bristol City manager Lee Johnson has said "a lot of things have got to go on" if they are to sign Liverpool youngster Sergi Canos.

Bristol City sign Lee Tomlin to permanent three-year deal

Lee Tomlin, right, has made his move to Bristol City permanent.

Lee Tomlin has signed a three-year deal with Championship side Bristol City.

The playmaker had a successful loan spell with the club last season and has now made a permanent move from Bournemouth.

He scored six times in 18 appearances to help keep the Robins in the second tier.

Sergi Canos joined Liverpool in 2013.

Liverpool have accepted two bids from Championship clubs for youngster Sergi Canos, a source close to the Premier League side has told ESPN FC.

Norwich City and Bristol City have been given permission to speak to the player with bids of £2.5 million being accepted by the Reds, according to the Liverpool Echo

Gary O'Neil leaves Norwich City for Bristol City on free transfer

Gary O'Neil had been offered a new one-year deal by relegated Norwich City.

Bristol City will sign midfielder Gary O'Neil when his Norwich City contract expires at the end of the month.

O'Neil, 33, told ESPN FC last month that he was open to extending his stay at Carrow Road after being offered a one-year contract extension. 

However, the former Portsmouth, Middlesbrough, West Ham United and Queens Park Rangers played has agreed a two-year contract with Championship rivals Bristol City.
