Sky Bet Championship leaders Newcastle recovered from being two goals down at home to draw 2-2 with struggling Bristol City.

The Robins took a surprise two-goal lead in the first half at St James' Park through Aaron Wilbraham and David Cotterill.

But a second-half own goal from Korey Smith and a Ciaran Clark strike secured a vital point that keeps Rafael Benitez's men on top of the table - at least for a few hours.

With trips to Brighton, Huddersfield and Reading up next, three points at home to struggling...

Bristol City fans called for the dismissal of head coach Lee Johnson as Fulham coasted to a comfortable 2-0 victory in the Championship.

The home side turned in a shambolic display in the absence of injured top scorer Tammy Abraham as Fulham moved to seventh in the table, one place outside the playoffs.

The Londoners went in front on 17 minutes when a patient passing move ended with Tom Cairney setting up Lucas Piazon to shoot past Fabian Giefer from 10 yards.

A dreadful mistake by full-back Adam...

Tammy Abraham returns to Chelsea from Bristol City to recover from injury

Craig Burley assesses the latest from the rumour mill, with Celtic's Moussa Dembele reportedly drawing a lot of attention.

Tammy Abraham has returned from his loan spell with Bristol City to parent club Chelsea while he recovers from a thigh injury.

Abraham, 19, has been in fine form for City since joining them last summer, having scored 21 goals in 38 appearances for the Championship club this season.

The striker sustained his injury in last week's 2-1 defeat at Leeds and City manager Lee Johnson has confirmed he has gone back to Chelsea to receive treatment.

"He's certainly going to be out for two to three weeks,"...

Chris Wood and Pablo Hernandez were on target as Leeds responded to back-to-back Sky Bet Championship defeats with a 2-1 victory over Bristol City at Elland Road.

Hernandez's quick free-kick led to the opener from Wood, who scored for the 22nd time this season, before the playmaker's deflected effort doubled the hosts' advantage shortly after half-time.

City substitute Milan Djuric headed in a last-gasp consolation, but fifth-placed Leeds, having lost to Huddersfield and Cardiff, bounced back to...

Derby staged a remarkable second half comeback to draw 3-3 after Bristol City let slip a three goal lead in a pulsating game at Pride Park.

Matty Taylor celebrated his first goal for City before Tammy Abraham scored twice to give City a 3-0 half-time lead.

But the second half was all Derby.

Darren Bent started the fightback and after Taylor missed an open goal, Tom Ince headed a second before Bent equalised from the spot to deny City a first away league win since September.

The day started cold and cheerless...
