It didn't fit with the shock patterns of this FA Cup weekend, but Arsenal's 3-2 win over Brighton and Hove Albion does suggest something might be building for their season. Arsene Wenger's side seemed so assured from the outset after last week's mood-changing 2-0 win over Manchester City and had what must be one of its smoothest attacking performances...

West Ham, Aston Villa and Arsenal walk away with fourth round FA Cup wins a day after three top sides were defeated by lower league opposition.

Tomas Rosicky scored one and set up another as Arsenal held off a second-half rally from Brighton to win 3-2 and book their place in the fifth round of the FA Cup.

Arsenal looked to be cruising to victory at the Amex Stadium after Theo Walcott's opener after 90 seconds and Mesut Ozil's close-range finish put the holders two up at the break.
