EFL to replace Anthony Knockaert POTY trophy after misspelling

The EFL have promised to replace Anthony Knockaert's Championship Player of the Year award after managing to spell the Brighton forward's name incorrectly on the original trophy.

The French striker was bestowed with the honour at the EFL Awards ceremony at Hilton Park Lane in London earlier this month, but was photographed holding a trophy engraved with the name "Anthony Knockeart."

Brighton fans will see their team play in the Premier League for the first time next season.

After nearly dropping out of the Football League two decades ago, Brighton & Hove Albion will be playing top-flight football for the first time in 34 years next season.
