Paderborn missed the chance to jump out of the relegation zone after letting a two-goal lead slip at home to Werder Bremen, while Wolfsburg fell at Monchengladbach.

Wolfsburg are interested in signing Germany striker Max Kruse from Bundesliga rivals Borussia Moenchengladbach.

Kruse, 27, has a Gladbach contract that runs for another two seasons, but he has a transfer release clause of €12 million.

Wolfsburg managing director Klaus Allofs confirmed the club's interest in the forward, but told kicker magazine that they are not the only side seeking Kruse's services.
