United States international Fabian Johnson will be rested for Borussia Monchengladbach's match at league leaders Bayern Munich because of a groin injury, coach Andre Schubert has confirmed.

The 28-year-old United States international currently is nursing muscular problems in his right groin, according to the club.

"We won't risk anything," Gladbach coach Schubert told reporters at his prematch news conference ahead of the Foals' trip to the Allianz Arena.
