Bordeaux barrier collapse: Children among five people injured

The barrier collapse was the second to happen at the recently-opened Nouveau Stade.

Five people were hurt when a barrier at Bordeaux's Nouveau Stade gave way -- the second such incident in three games at the new €168 million arena.

Two children, aged 12 and 14, were among those hurt when the barrier failed to withstand a crowd surge after Milan Gajic scored Bordeaux's second goal in the 2-0 win over Nantes on Sunday.

Bordeaux secured their first three-point haul in Ligue 1 this season with a 2-0 win against 10-man Nantes.

Wahbi Khazri made up for an earlier penalty miss when he turned on Renato Civelli's smart pass before beating Nantes goalkeeper Remy Riou.

Any chance of a Nantes comeback seemingly went just a few minutes after the restart when Ermir Lenjani brought down Clement Chantome from behind and was sent off, before Les Girondins wrapped up the points late on.

Southampton shocked by FC Midtjylland, Dortmund cruise past Odd

Southampton are out of the Europa League after a shock loss to FC Midtjylland.

Southampton were sent crashing out of Europe on Thursday evening courtesy of a strike from FC Midtjylland's very own "Big Dunc."

Former Celtic striker Morten Rasmussen was given the nickname 'Duncan' during his early years with AGF Aarhus as he reminded a coach of former Everton forward Duncan Ferguson with the Denmark international even sporting the moniker on the back of his shirt.

And he provided the moment of inspiration to send the Danish champions into the Europa League group stages, with...

Lille and Bordeaux both remain winless after sharing an entertaining goalless draw at Stade Pierre-Mauroy.

The result means Lille remain without a goal after three games, although they could not have come much closer after hitting the woodwork three times.

Bordeaux striker Enzo Crivelli had the first notable effort on goal midway through the first half when his shot was turned behind by Vincent Enyeama.

Baptiste Guillaume hit the outside of the post at the other end before Marko Basa put a golden chance...

Dortmund rally from 3-0 down to win; Athletic Bilbao lose in Europa League

Borussia Dortmund erased a three-goal deficit to win the first leg of their Europa League playoff round tie.

Borussia Dortmund rallied from a shocking three-goal deficit to win 4-3 at Odd Grenland in the Europa League playoff round first leg on Thursday.

Jone Samuelsen scored after just 13 seconds for the Norweigan side, with Fredrik Nordkvelle doubling the advantage on 19 minutes.

A free kick by Espen Ruud three minutes later gave Odd a 3-0 lead before Dortmund -- playing without star Marco Reus -- were able to regroup.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang started the comeback by scoring on a rebound in the 34th...
